I decided to watch this movie with a few friends one night due to the amazing reviews and quotes of others out there, so, we popped it in and after ten minutes I was asleep and to my horror when I awoke the movie was still on and not finished yet I rewatched the movie a day later just to see what I missed and again trying to fight falling asleep due to the never ending camera and constant darkness and lack of sound, I applaude what he was trying to do in not having what seems like a never ending camera shot but it just makes things boring. We cut to change pace and to not have people get bored. Hence the run on sentence above. The movie tries to scare you by making you afraid of the dark without giving a reason to be afraid of the dark in the first place. I'm not five years old anymore, thus, this doesn't frighten me. In the end the twist is predictable and over done by all indie filmmakers out there. It was a waste of my hour and a half, though it felt like I watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
